BOWLER OF THE MONTH

JULY 2010 WINNERS
Winners are determined by selecting the best records for the month based on the player's best three games out of four games played. Normally four games are played each month, one every Tuesday, starting at 6:30 P.M. (summer schedule). The winners for first place: Lead, Amy Chan; Vice, Jean Reid and Skip, Kay Tong. The second place winners were: Lead, Moe-Yi Chan; Vice, Mary Russell and Skip, Shuman Chan. The third place winners were: Lead, Peter Iles; Vice, David Cheung and Skip, Houdini Ho.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

The Santa Anita Bowling Green Club began the 2009/2010 seaon with the Floy Torvid Tournament  on Sept. 3, 2009. Eight club members decided to brave the  smokey, over 100 degree day, to compete in the Floy Torvid Singles Tournament. At the end of the games, all the players were smiling. The winners shown in the picture are: 1st place, Jim Miller; 2nd place, Houdini Ho; 3rd place, John Gonzales and 4th place, Margi Rambo. An added highlight, John Gonzales beat his teacher Marinko Tudor who just returned from a six week vacation.
